Description

Simplicity and repetition

The Cherokee Sundance is a gentle, joyful prayer which emphasises an even balance between giving and receiving. The movements are very graceful but they exercise all the major muscle groups as the dance proceeds, and its simplicity and repetition opens up space to drop deeper and deeper into the more meditative aspects of the practice.

It is traditionally performed every morning at the start of the day. My teacher Peggy Dylan learned the Sundance with Cherokee people and was given permission to pass it on.

One-on-one sessions are suitable for those who would like to develop a personal practice. The repetitive style of the Sundance is quick and easy to learn.
